The Los Angeles Contemporary Orchestra (LACO), founded in 2025 by Music Director Josh Andres and Assistant Music Director Ziad Asadi, is a community-based orchestra composed of musicians united by a passion for the performance of film, TV, video game, and modern orchestral music. 

Specializing in the performance of film, television, video games, and modern music, the Los Angeles Contemporary Orchestra stands at the crossroads of tradition and innovation, striving to be a pillar in the local music community.  It embraces local composer works and visual media scores that extend beyond the standard orchestral repertoire, creating bold and resonant performances that offer audiences a fresh and vibrant concert experience.
